SB School of Real Estate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Connecticut-licensed real estate prelicense school. This Privacy Notice describes what personal information we collect when you visit our website or enroll in our courses, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights.

This notice is a disclosure — not a contract. Reading or using our website does not waive any rights you have under applicable law.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Course enrollment and inquiries: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you enroll in a course, submit a contact form, or request course information.
  • Payment: when you pay for a course, your payment is processed by GoDaddy Payments, our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full credit card number. GoDaddy Payments retains payment data under its own privacy policy.
  • Testimonials: if you voluntarily submit a testimonial through our website, we collect your name, quote, graduation year, and current role.

Student records we maintain

As a licensed school, we maintain records necessary to serve our students and to meet our obligations to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (CT DCP), including:

  • Course enrollment and attendance records
  • Course completion status and final grades
  • Certificates of completion
  • Any information required to be reported to CT licensing authorities

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting provider (GoDaddy) may automatically collect standard web server log data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this to keep the site running and to understand general traffic patterns. We use session cookies to support basic website functionality. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your course enrollment and accept payment
  • Deliver live Zoom classes and course materials
  • Communicate with you about your enrollment, class schedule, and course updates
  • Issue certificates of completion
  • Fulfill our reporting obligations to the CT Department of Consumer Protection
  • Respond to your questions and inquiries
  • Send you course information you requested (you may opt out at any time)
  • Maintain the security and functionality of our website

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or in connection with generative AI applications.


3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • GoDaddy Payments — processes course tuition on our behalf. Your payment data is governed by GoDaddy's Privacy Policy.
  • Zoom — we conduct all live classes via Zoom. When you attend class, Zoom processes connection data under Zoom's Privacy Statement.
  • GoDaddy (website hosting) — our website is hosted by GoDaddy. Standard web traffic data is processed under GoDaddy's Privacy Policy.
  • Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection — we are required by state law to maintain student records and make them available to the CT DCP as part of our school licensing obligations.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our students, staff, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if our school is acquired or merged, student records may transfer to the successor entity, which will be bound by this notice or a substantially similar one.

5. Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 7. We will respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure. If you have concerns about the security of your information, please contact us.
